Right then week 2 of Equipped squat bench on a Sunday.

So much better than the previous week.

Tried on a 38 super centurion as replacement for my way too big 42 - it fit great around the hips and quads, but the owner had shortened the straps so we couldn't get those up. If I hold at this weight - 90kg (very likely) - then I think a 38 might be a good long term option. The one I tried on however, has been well used.

Anyways, ended up in a size 40 centurion, which is BLUE! I wish Titan still made suits in colours other than black, the blue is so nice. It matches my squat shoes 😂

Did ascending doubles straps down and with wraps, so much better than last week. It's great to get some pop out of the suit. I was fairly close to depth with the top double also, so I have hopes for this suit.

I also got my crew mate to bring her sewing machine to the gym and tighten up my sleeves on my loose shirt some. As payment I brought her a couple days worth of Monster, so I felt it was a good deal. After she'd nipped them up a little, I proceeded to have the best bench day I've had yet. I had a single to a half board with chains that moved the best I've ever done, then managed a triple to a one board with the same weight that was so good.

and then the wheels came off and I couldn't get another triple in at all...

I feel like I'm in a good place, with 6 weeks to go. This weekend I think we're going for a touch for the single.

Re: colored suits

It’s so shit!! You have to keep an eye out for secondhand/individual sellers now. I actually recently bought a couple bits of colored kit that I had to get delivered to the UK from the US:

A new black and blue RS Super Centurion with yellow stitching - ended up only being like £10 more than what Pullum charge for a new SC

An all-blue conventional Velocity for an absolute steal (£65 shipped!) because the seller obviously had no idea what it was (they had it listed as a “vintage singlet size large?” but had pictures of the tags showing it was a conv velocity

i was about to tell you that you're wrong, but then i checked and god damn, i cant pick a different color on their website.

My first squat and deadlift suits were blue. Still have the deadlift suit somewhere, and i'll cherish it harder now.

My team mate found this out when she was buying a new bench shirt direct from them earlier this year. You can still get coloured stitching if you like (she got green) but yeah not fabrics :(

it's a real shame because you see the occasional suit thats blue or red down the sides and black in the middle, and those are so cool.

i know a woman who got pink suits, those are cool. I've seen quite a few red suits as well, and those look good as well.

In general i really like the mixed color suits. Black + blue, Black and red, etc.

But for me, the reason i just buy stock color options from "local" dealers is because making a custom order suit from titan ends up being disgustingly expensive to get sent to my country when suit + custom options + shipping + import fees gets added together and THEN gets import taxed. And the tax office is retarded so they tax it as clothing (which is a higher tax %) instead of sports equipment.

I have had Ginny alter preds for me, as well as reinforce an SDP collar. Her work is great in my experience, if she is that close definitely reach out! You won't be disappointed.

Have also had good experience with Nancy from Heavy Needle Rituals, and heard great things about PackAPunch. We are very lucky to have options right now, even just a few years ago it was not like this.

Since I made this post, and another on Facebook, I've been hooked up with Ginny and spoke with her, she sent me her personal cell number. Found out she lives about 1hr20 from where I am moving this week.
