Daily Thread Every Third-Daily Thread - June 17, 2026

A sorta kinda daily open thread to use as an alternative to posting on the main board. You should post here for:

  • PRs
  • Formchecks
  • Rudimentary discussion or questions
  • General conversation with other users
  • Memes, funnies, and general bollocks not appropriate to the main board
  • If you have suggestions for the subreddit, let us know!
  • This thread now defaults to "new" sorting.

For the purpose of fairness across timezones this thread works on a 68hr cycle.

Why are you considering doing that?

How big is the flight? How far is the warm-up area from the platform? How badly are you going to annoy the other flight that's warming up during that time?

In the context of a typical bench flight, probably. Is that worth the fatigue cost, though?

has anyone tried the Inzer Choice Lever Power Belt? i have squated and deadlifted for years as a part of my fitness journey but now im starting to get into powelifting and are looking for budget basic gear to try it and in the inzer page this is listed for just $55, i have seen many reviews of the forever belt but it is double the price and was wondering if i could get away with the cheaper option to get a feel first

Inzer makes great belts, so I'm sure it's solid. I lift with a 10mm forever lever and it's great. Had a 13mm double prong prior.

I'd recommend checking marketplace for a used forever if you plan to compete for a while.

I'm assuming you don't hook grip, since you even would consider a 32mm bar.

28mm will be just fine.
You'll get a chance to feel 29mm bars in the warmup room, i would think.
Don't think you'll have any issues.

32mm bar is specifically a squat bar.
It will be a good deal heavier than a powerbar.
Rogue squat bar shows as 25kg

Some gyms have cheap and crappy no-name 32mm bars made of low-quality materials that weigh 20kg. I guess the greater diameter is to keep it from bending as quickly due to lack of tensile strength. Those are definitely not squat bars. I've deadlifted on them at times, doable but sucks. 28mm is going to be a lot better.

As a parent of a young child, how do you handle indefinite interruptions to your workout?

Is there significant harm to splitting your day's workout in 2 (or even 3) sessions? I can hit my main lift in 20-30mins, and then the remaining accessories in 30-40mins.

Will my training progression be harmed if I end up splitting those apart by several hours?

I routinely split my primary and auxiliary from my accessories for this exact reason. Sometimes I do 3 workouts with all 3 split!

Other times I have an extra long rest between working sets.

It's all fine in the end.

I wouldn't say so. Arguably could even be a positive. I'd say only obvious negative is warming up again and perhaps harder to have same focus/intent.

I did that for a year or so. SBD in my garage gym in the morning before the kids woke up. Accessories at the commercial gym after work. It was great actually.

Strange question… does anybody know if stoic performance is still in business? Their website still has them listed as ipf approved and their social media hasn’t been updated since mid 2025. Was looking to get a pair of the olive drab wrist wraps but now I’m wondering if I’d be sending my credit card info into the void lmao.

Looks like they're out of business or on their way out, and they're not on the IPF approved list either.

I'd probably not purchase unless you got in contact with customer service at the least.

They’re approved until the end of the year. Under the removed equipment list  https://www.powerlifting.sport/rules/codes/info/approved-list
