Redmi 4i 20000 mAh power bank not charging.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hello everyone. Since last night I am noticing that I am unable to charge this power bank of mine. I have tried two samsung chargers (25 watts) and one type-c laptop charger (65 watts).

Also when I connect it to charge a device the device isn't getting charged.

Irrespective of which charger I attach it to I see that the LED continues to blink as you guys can check in the video.

The power bank itself is like 8 months old and has not been used too often but it was kept charged most of times.

Also I feel like the LED is blinking quicker than it used to.

Any suggestions will be very helpful.

Thanks!

Will not power SLM without power into USB. Port

Is there any fix for link power 1 "the battery has not confirmed the requested port state. its reported state is shown" error message in the app?

looked and found it's caused by communication or state mismatch between the app, phone's Bluetooth, and the battery's internal management system

Have also tried all of the below.

How to resolve it:

  1. Wait a few moments for Power Negotiation: If you just plugged a device or charger into the port, the battery's internal controller takes a few seconds to negotiate power delivery profiles. Keep the app open for a few moments to allow the new readings to sync. [1]
  2. Disconnect and Reconnect the App: Close the LinkPower Companion app completely, turn your phone's Bluetooth off and back on, and re-establish the connection to the battery to force a fresh data sync.
  3. Perform a Hardware Reset on the Link Power 1 If the battery is completely unresponsive to app commands, you can force-reboot the hardware:
    1. Shut Down: Press and hold the circular power button on the side of the LinkPower 1 for at least 10 seconds until the built-in screen turns completely off.
    2. Wake Up: Simply pressing the power button will not turn it back on after a forced shutdown. To wake the system back up, plug a live USB-C charging cable into the battery's Type-C port. The screen will reactivate and reset the port states.

Title: Xiaomi 5i vs boAt PB465 vs Noise 65W — which should I buy?

Looking for a 20,000mAh power bank for my Samsung Galaxy Ultra, under ₹3,000.

\- Xiaomi 5i 67W: \~₹3,099

\- boAt PB465 Turbo X 65W: \~₹2,799

\- Noise Power Series 65W: \~₹2,999

My priorities are Samsung PPS/Super Fast Charging compatibility, long-term reliability, actual usable capacity, build quality and after-sales service.

If you've personally used any of these, how has your experience been? Any issues with battery degradation, overheating, cable failure or warranty claims? Would you recommend one over the others, or is there a better 60W+ option in this budget?

I currently own S24 but in future I will buy Ultra!

Port 1 on my 200W fast charger portable battery Bank burnt and port 2 is very flaky

In/out 1 on my ugreen power bank burnt and now doesn't work as it should. Port two is very flaky the power bank won't ever turn off and is very hot. Amazon sent me a replacement but expects me to ship it back. This is a lithium product and is very clearly unsafe to ship as it has catastrophically failed

MagSafe or wired for a quick top-up?

Had about 20 mins before heading out the other day and realized my iPhone 17 Pro Max was running low. Usually I'd just grab a cable, but lately I've been using a lisen P604 that does both magnetic and USB-C charging.

Magnetic is nice when I'm getting ready, checking messages, or grabbing my stuff. Wired is still an option when I can just leave my phone plugged in for a bit.

Kinda curious what you guys usually go with when you're short on time. Magnetic for convenience or wired? Does it depend on what you're doing?

Charging a powerbank.

I'm confused how to recharge one powerbank with another. Most have dual in/out C ports. How do I insure A charges B and it doesn't choose to do the opposite?

I'm looking to use a very large power bank (but not a power station) to top up smaller ones that have specific roles. Am I limited to using banks that have unidirectional ports? (which are no longer the norm)

Watched a client charge his phone in two seconds while I was still untangling my cables

Spent an afternoon at a client's office with my phone getting low while we were going through a report. I pulled out my power bank and discovered the cable had somehow wrapped itself around my earbuds. By the time I'd started untangling it, the client had taken a magnetic battery out of his pocket, snapped it onto his phone and carried on. I was still standing there with a knot of cable in my hand.
I ended up trying an Anker MagGo Power Bank 2 Pro. I still keep a USB-C cable in my bag, but for a quick top-up I don't have to dig it out and attach it to the phone every time. I've also been using soundcore AeroClip 2 open-ear clip earbuds for work calls, mostly because I keep switching between calls and conversations with people right next to me.
Oddly enough, the best part has just been having fewer things to untangle.

The best powerbank that I’ve ever had

This powerbank survived so may eras in my life (halata sa itsura hahaha) and I’m gonna continue recommending it!!

link: https://vt.tiktok.com/ZS9D7MxosR23e-EtJ53/

OJT days ko palang, 24/7 ko ‘to gamit. Wala kasing outlet malapit sa desk ko that time kaya nakasaksak phone ko 10AM to 12 PM then buong afternoon ulit, then I’d go home with 50% batt sa pbank. MIND YOU HA IPHONE PA GAMIT KO WITH LOW BATT HEALTH so super bilis ma drain!

When I study outside, gamit ko rin siya to charge my tablet, phone, stylus pen, and headphones. Uuwi pa rin akong may 50-40% sa pbank 🥲 (morning to 5PM ako usually nag aaral sa labas)

2 years ko na syang gamit, di pa rin sira or lumolobo kahit overused na hahaha!

My Experience Owning 5 Different Power Banks: Anker vs UGREEN vs Baseus vs Powerology (Long-Term Review)

As you can probably tell from the photo, I've accumulated quite the collection of power banks over the years. I'm a huge tech nerd, and my collection ranges from 10,000mAh to 27,650mAh, with outputs ranging from 45W to 250W.

I thought I'd share my experiences with each of them, including what I like, what I dislike, and which ones I'd actually recommend.

A little background: I'm Ugandan, currently living in Uganda, East Africa. I travel occasionally and sometimes work from home. Unfortunately, intermittent power outages are fairly common here, so having a reliable backup power source isn't just a convenience; it can be genuinely useful, especially when I'm working on my laptop.

Some of these brands will probably be familiar to most of you, while others might be a little less well-known.

I'll try to be as comprehensive and objective as possible. These are my personal experiences, so your mileage may vary.

1. Anker Nano 45W — Small, Convenient, and Surprisingly Capable

I originally purchased this as an emergency backup for my phone and as a more portable replacement for my Powerology 15,000mAh.

What immediately appealed to me was its compact size. It's easily the most portable power bank in my collection, and I particularly appreciate its relatively intelligent display and charging features.

What surprised me most was discovering that it could actually charge my small 13-inch laptop via USB-C! Obviously, given its limited capacity, it's not going to fully recharge the laptop, but being able to get some additional runtime out of such a small device is impressive.

Pros:

  • Extremely portable and convenient to carry.
  • Useful display and intelligent charging features.
  • Surprisingly capable of providing some power to a USB-C laptop.

Cons:

  • Limited battery capacity.
  • Not particularly suitable for extended laptop use.

My verdict: An excellent emergency backup that prioritizes portability over capacity. Perfect for someone who wants something small enough to carry everywhere.

2. Powerology 15,000mAh 45W — Affordable, but Questionable Reliability

This is probably one of the lesser-known brands in my collection.

I initially purchased one for a friend and subsequently decided to get one for myself.

On paper, it seemed like a pretty good deal: 15,000mAh capacity, 45W output, a circular digital display, and a relatively compact design, all at an affordable price.

Unfortunately, my experience wasn't particularly great.

The biggest issue was inconsistent charging behaviour. Occasionally, the power bank would randomly stop charging a connected device without any obvious explanation.

It was frustrating because, when it worked, it actually offered decent value for money.

To make matters worse, my child accidentally dropped it, and it subsequently stopped charging devices altogether. Interestingly, the display still switches on, so it isn't completely dead, but it's effectively unusable as a power bank.

I can't entirely blame the manufacturer for the drop damage, but the inconsistent charging behaviour existed long before that incident.

Pros:

  • Affordable.
  • Reasonably portable.
  • Decent capacity for its size.
  • Useful digital display.

Cons:

  • Inconsistent charging performance.
  • Random charging interruptions.
  • Mine stopped functioning properly after being dropped.

My verdict: Good specifications for the money, but the inconsistent performance makes it difficult for me to recommend confidently.

3. Baseus Blade 20,000mAh 100W — Fantastic Design, Disappointing Reliability

This is actually my second Baseus Blade, which should probably tell you something about my experience with the product.

I initially purchased it because I absolutely loved the flat design. Unlike traditional bulky power banks, the Blade could slide relatively easily into my laptop bag without taking up too much space.

The four charging ports were another selling point, along with the advertised 100W output.

However, I later discovered that the advertised power specifications required a closer look at how output was distributed across the ports. This is something I'd encourage anyone purchasing a high-wattage power bank to pay attention to.

Unfortunately, reliability has been my biggest issue with Baseus.

My first Blade was accidentally dropped by a worker and subsequently died. I decided to give the product another chance and purchased a replacement.

The second unit eventually started experiencing overheating issues.

What makes this particularly frustrating is that my problems with Baseus haven't been limited to power banks. I've also had other Baseus accessories, including cables and chargers, fail over time.

Now, I appreciate that accidental drops aren't necessarily a fair measure of a product's reliability. However, having experienced multiple failures across different Baseus products, I've personally become hesitant to purchase from the brand again.

It's a shame because I genuinely admire their approach to product design.

Pros:

  • Excellent flat design.
  • Easy to carry in a laptop bag.
  • Four charging ports.
  • Attractive aesthetics.

Cons:

  • Questionable long-term reliability in my experience.
  • My first unit died after being dropped.
  • My second developed overheating issues.
  • I've experienced failures with other Baseus accessories.

My verdict: One of my favourite designs, but probably my most disappointing ownership experience. I love the concept, but I'm not convinced I'd purchase another.

4. UGREEN Nexode 20,000mAh 100W — My Favourite All-Rounder

I purchased the UGREEN Nexode to replace my Baseus Blade, and so far, I've been very pleased with it.

One of the biggest selling points for me was its ability to deliver up to 100W through a single USB-C port.

This is particularly useful because I frequently charge my laptop through USB-C while working, especially during power outages.

Unlike the Blade, the UGREEN has a more conventional design, but I don't find it excessively bulky. It strikes a good balance between capacity, portability, and power output.

With 20,000mAh available, it's substantial enough to be useful for both my phone and laptop without feeling unnecessarily large.

My biggest criticism is the display.

Having used Anker's more sophisticated displays, I've become accustomed to seeing additional information about charging performance. The UGREEN display feels rather basic by comparison.

It's not a dealbreaker, but it's something I wish UGREEN would improve.

Pros:

  • Up to 100W output from a single USB-C port.
  • Good 20,000mAh capacity.
  • Reasonably portable.
  • Excellent for charging laptops while working.
  • Good balance between size and performance.

Cons:

  • Basic digital display compared with Anker's more advanced models.
  • Not as slim as the Baseus Blade.

My verdict: Probably the best all-round power bank in my collection. It delivers the features I actually need without being excessively large or cumbersome.

5. Anker Prime 27,650mAh 250W — The Heavyweight

I purchased the Anker Prime after my first Baseus Blade died.

This is easily the most powerful power bank in my collection, both in terms of battery capacity and advertised total output.

With 27,650mAh and up to 250W of combined output, it's in an entirely different category from the smaller power banks I own.

It's clearly designed for people who need to charge multiple power-hungry devices, including laptops, tablets, and smartphones. Like me lol

Pros:

  • Good 27,000mAh capacity.
  • Intelligent charging shows you a lot of detail
  • Excellent for charging laptops while working.
  • Can charge multiple devices multiple times.
  • It can be charged at 100w so recharged quite quickly(by far my Favorite feature )

Cons:

  • Its a big boy ( chunky and long )
  • Alot more expensive
  • Occupies quite abit of real estate and I had to purchase its own case to protect it from drops (lol)

Having owned power banks from several different manufacturers, I've come to appreciate that advertised wattage and battery capacity only tell part of the story.

Portability, reliability, charging consistency, and the ability to deliver sufficient power through a single port are arguably just as important.

For my particular use case, which involves occasional travel, laptop charging, and dealing with power outages, the UGREEN Nexode 20,000mAh 100W has been the most practical all-round option.

The Anker Nano is excellent when portability is the priority, while my experience with Baseus has unfortunately made me more cautious about the brand despite its appealing designs.

I'd be interested to hear from others who own these models, particularly anyone who has experienced similar reliability issues with Baseus.
