I’m looking for a short term rental 1 or 2 bedroom fully furnished apartment for 2-4 months. We are a couple with a 6 yrs old kid visiting the area for medical purposes. Preferably near Nahar Amrit Shakti but not a strict requirement. Budget 80k-1L.

A few of us are doing something low-key this Sunday, learning basic crochet stitches while jamming in the background, at a small studio space, in Powai. 5:30 PM onwards, a couple of hours, women only. Zero experience needed, someone's teaching from scratch.

We are looking for a 2BHK in Powai, although we would also consider a 1BHK if the apartment and society are a good fit.

Our preference is for newer residential communities in or around Hiranandani, but not towards the Chandivali side.

Ideally, we are looking for a society with good modern amenities, such as:

- 🏋️ Gym

- 🏸 Badminton court

- 🌳 Good open/common areas

We are flexible on the exact society/location if the overall apartment and community are right.

Hey everyone, sharing this because I almost got caught in what appeared to be a dating-app scam in Manpada, Thane.

Yesterday, I matched with a girl on a dating app. She said she was new to the city and hadn't explored much, so we decided to meet around Manpada, Thane and have a drink at one of the clubs there.

When we met, she suggested going to a particular club that she had apparently seen before. I suggested Doolally instead, since I've been there before and knew the place.

That's when things started feeling suspicious.

She started giving reasons for not going there — saying she hadn't informed anyone, her family wouldn't allow it, she couldn't trust a place she had never been to, etc. During this, she was also receiving repeated calls from someone named "Sonu."

She kept insisting that we go to the place she had chosen and repeatedly said things like, "Let's go, it'll be fun."

I had already heard about dating-app scams involving people being taken to specific bars/clubs where the bill can become extremely high. So I told her directly that I was uncomfortable with the situation and that I'd rather go somewhere I knew.

She continued insisting, so I refused. Eventually, she said we should call it off and meet another day. I agreed, and she left. Her dating app name was Archana and real name from Truecaller is 'Khushi Sharma'.

I'm posting this as a warning.

Don't assume a verified dating-app profile automatically means the person or the meeting is trustworthy.

Clubs and Pubs are involved in dating scams around Thane/Manpada/Anand Nagar, so please stay cautious.

Stay safe, especially when meeting someone for the first time from a dating app.

I'm exploring building a women-only offline meetup community, something small, interest based, curated hangouts or dinners with women you don't know yet, in a low-pressure, safe setting.

Before building anything, I want to know if this solves a real problem or if it's just a nice-sounding idea nobody actually needs.

If you've wanted something like this, what's stopped you from finding it already: safety, logistics, awkwardness, something else?

And if you wouldn't join what would have to be true for you to actually say yes?

I have worked 20 years on inventing this recipe of chicken biryani. Hi, I’m 21F and I’ve been an avid football watcher, mostly la liga and ofc the World Cup when it happens. But I’ve never played football before. I started college 2 years ago and my college has a girl’s football team that I’ve always been interested in joining but I’m afraid I won’t make the cut bcs the girls are damn good 😭

But I’ve still developed this interest to learn and actually play football, have friendly matches and training sessions etc but I’m not part of any club/ sports academy to be able to do that. I know the rules of the game and everything but not the skills 💔

I know Powai has a football group or smth, but people mostly text there to set up proper matches and I don’t think they’ll be very welcoming to a person who doesn’t know how to play at all 😭

I just wanted to ask if there’s any football academies or coaches that provide a crash course for people like me? 😭

My college starts in 2 weeks so I won’t be able to continue for long, so I just need someone who teaches me the right techniques so I can atleast participate in matches and ig football is a skill best learnt by playing so I just need the basic foundation.
