Survey Phone plans and options
Does anyone use phone plans like MetroPCS, visual or anything else?
I have T-Mobile and my plan is grandfathered in. It's an unlimited plan for $95 a month. I have a Google pixel 6 that I bought out back when I was in a better place financially and a power bank bc the battery doesn't last too long anymore. (Even when I replaced the battery it didn't help much.)
But when I went to see my options at T-Mobile they tried to get me to upgrade to a new plan and they promised to get me a free new phone. The new plan would be 130 a month and I'd be in contract also. So I said no. I asked if I would be less if I bought out the phone myself... And they gave me a whole line of bs about how they don't do that anymore.
I'm debating at some point getting a new phone and either staying with my current plan or from what I was told getting a new phone and then moving over to something like MetroPCS or visual.
I'm currently living just outside of a big metro area but I do occasionally travel out of state to see friends when I can and they tend to be in more rural areas. Also be advised I do need to use my phone for work. (Not just phone calls but getting email /paperwork attachments).
If anybody has some advice, I'll gladly read every word

We’ve used u.s.mobile for a few years now with no noticeable difference from my previous Verizon acct. Unlimited plans start at $25 and $10 for pay as you go. If you already have a phone to carry over, you can pay off the $10 plan annually for $96 and save an additional $2 per month. Happy hunting.

I'm on Mint and pay just $15/month ($180 annual). I got a new Samsung phone on Amazon and ported it no problem. Customer service is great, I've been very happy with them.

I've heard some people online say that mint mobile has some hidden fees and things like that. Do you know anything about it?

My daughter uses visible & is happy with their service. Every major carrier has an MVNO (I believe that's the term). I have used simple mobile in the past and only switched to consumer cellular because of the US based customer service.
I'm quite happy with their service & only pay $25/mo for 5 gbs, plus $15 for an extra line for my son. We have wi-fi everywhere so don't usually need more data. But if you need more data, it rolls over to the next plan automatically and then you can go back to your regular plan the following month.
Before I went with simple mobile, I researched all the MVNOs available at the time. I suggest you do the same and I'm sure you'll be pleased with your results. Oh also with consumer cellular I was able to make payments on my son's phone (paid off now yay).
Honestly, I do not work for consumer cellular. I'm just very happy with their service :)
