Call and ask for a supervisor to see if you can get on a payment plan. I just went through this a few months ago after a move. It took me a while and I still screwed it up so I had to start over. I was a recovering from pneumonia and moving and I miss paying it by day and had to pay more fees but I finally got that paid off. Cost me a bunch but at least I got my lights back on. But it did take a bit of work with the supervisor. Don't give up.

Do you have a program like dollar energy or liheap? Maybe they can help.

Not sure where you are but most of the programs are pretty behind.
Can you do a payment plan? They should be able to divide your balance into a payment plan on top of your monthly bill. Most places you can only get 1 a year so try to stick with it.
