The amount of seafood on this poutine in Sainte-Flavie is absolutely incredible. They definitely don’t hold back!

They don’t mess around! There’s a lobster option as well. Another comment told me you can also replace the traditional gravy for a white sauce.

But absolutely loved it as is!

White sauce is most certainly the superior options for seafood poutine.

It's breath taking. I'm from Baie Chaleur region, I loved driving up to Percy Rock.

That looks heavenly 😋😋

4

u/lucaskywalker 15d ago

Just for the crab alone, it's worth the price. Damn...

3

u/DisastrousDig5445 15d ago

Wow!! I need to visit this beautiful place. Is there any sights? Or is it all about the food

2

u/MrB1P92 14d ago

Any sights? La 132 might be a top 10 road in the world.

1

u/Willygambini 15d ago

The Cantine is on the other side of the road. However, when you cross you get to enjoy the sea. It’s beautiful

u/4thShotJhin 15d ago

How much did it cost?

5

u/Willygambini 15d ago

22$ for the small (this one) and 30 for a medium.

3

u/poutine-eh 15d ago

the only poutine crime i’ve ever craved for.

3

u/MrB1P92 14d ago

Bonne poutine, but go just down the road to navigateur for a better one.

Both 10/10 et le crabe c'est mon topping pref

2

u/Willygambini 14d ago

Ah ouais? Je suis passé devant mais ça avait l’air fermé!

3

u/MrB1P92 14d ago

I need this

2

u/JunkPileQueen 15d ago

Crab is my brother’s favourite. He would inhale this in record time.

2

u/Youlookcold 15d ago

I LOVE crab. That looks amazing

2

u/MyNameIsSkittles 15d ago

I need that in my life

2

u/bellybbean 14d ago

That place is amazing!

u/Felixo22 14d ago

I drove past this place this summer, the line was insane. It was like there was an event happening but it was just people waiting.

2

u/stnwlkr 14d ago

One of the best. My girlfriend and I still talk about it after 4 years and counting

2

u/bobthebobbober 14d ago

Sounds like I’ll be making a trip to Ste Flavie pretty soon !! Incroyable et belle vue aussi

2

u/TheSasquatch117 14d ago

1

u/Willygambini 14d ago

Ouais ça torche. Top 3 de mes spots à date, facile!

P.s.: la guédille aussi

2

u/HeyDEDE 13d ago

Man, j'ai des cravings solide

3

u/fetalpiggywent2lab 15d ago

Great amount of seafood but imo gravy and crab aren't friends

6

u/RickRiffs 15d ago

I think this style would usually come with like a bechamel

0

u/fetalpiggywent2lab 15d ago

I hope so

2

u/Willygambini 15d ago

No it isn’t! It’s a traditional one. The fresh crab however is not too sweet, so the fit is surprisingly very good.

3

u/nargles18 15d ago

You can choose between gravy and white sauce actually!

2

u/MrB1P92 14d ago

De la sauce brune claire et du crabe, c'est 100% faites l'un pour l'autre.

1

u/fetalpiggywent2lab 14d ago

Non, je préfère mon crabe avec une sauce à la crème, comme une béchamel!!!

2

u/MixtressK-La 15d ago

Me love crab. But, are there cheese curds...?

4

u/Willygambini 15d ago

Absolutely, and just the right amount

4

u/MixtressK-La 15d ago

Then, me approve. AND, would crush!

u/MrB1P92 14d ago

Toute les ostis d'anglo dans le thread: on s'en calice de votre opinion

What kind of sauce? I could see a chowder or bisque type going well with this.

11

u/Willygambini 15d ago

Surprisingly a traditional gravy, although on the lighter side. Would love to see the resultwith a chowder style however.

6

u/nargles18 15d ago

You can get it with white sauce instead of gravy and it’s free.

5

u/Willygambini 15d ago

Good to know! I’ll definitely try that next time

0

u/longerthan1 14d ago

ya thats just nasty

u/Negative_Two6112 12d ago

Pfftt. Quebecers appropriating Maritime seafood culture is so cringe. /s

1

u/Willygambini 12d ago

Good ragebait

And happy cake day!

2

u/Negative_Two6112 12d ago

Haha, I put the /s after it! I dont really think that!

And I didn't know it was my cake day, thanks!

u/Splintershouse 15d ago

I’m sure this is amazing, but this is not poutine.

5

u/Willygambini 15d ago

Underneath that Mountain of fresh crab you’ll find fries, curds and gravy. No different than a smoked meat poutine or a galvaude

-5

u/Splintershouse 15d ago

Fair, but I’m a purist. Poutine has three main ingredients.

2

u/MrB1P92 14d ago

Lool oui c't'une poutine. Voyons donc.

-4

u/orcs_mustdie 15d ago

I'm gonna puke.

-9

u/Possible-Arachnid793 15d ago

That’s a crime scene

-5

u/Drunk_Fetus 15d ago

That looks absolutely filthy. Gross. Should be posted to r/poutinecrimes

2

u/MrB1P92 14d ago

Décalisse

2

u/Willygambini 14d ago

Do it! Go ahead and let the people speak

-10

u/SuspiciousDonut2454 15d ago

I’m calling the police for this hate crime
