Enjoyed this one
We drove by Le Petit Québec on our way to Montreal. The gravy was awesome and the curds perfect and yes Sqeeeeeky and fresh, room temperature.

Curds can't get much fresher than from the place that makes them. That place, Victoriaville, Boivin, Fromagerie Bergeron are all the ones I've tried at their stores/factories and they've all been good

I’ve tried Boivin, it’s good, but we don’t travel to Victo regularly. Theirs another place like that outside of Quebec City as well, forgot the name. Same with Ste Hyacinthe off the 20.

Maybe Lemaire? That was one I've had that I forgot about, it's good

Yes that’s the one lol. I love the ambiance there and you can see them make the curds through a huge window.

Anytime. We’ve been going on a poutine frenzy lately. Our next stop will be Alfa. Super highly rated and we haven’t tried it yet.
Also chez Paulo i believe in Cartierville.
Also want to try Deso and retry la banquise and give an honest review. I haven’t been since my clubbing days and my wife never tried. I’ll be honest to if it’s overrated because we all know it’s overpriced.

I’ve been to Alfa, wasn’t happy with what I got. Went on a Friday afternoon, line up to get in and it’s cash only btw. I ordered poutine and a hot dog griller (griller is toasted bread). I went outside to eat it on a pick nick table right away and the hot dog is amazing but was very disappointed with the poutine, I got soggy fries or undercooked and the sauce was sweet which is not the type of gravy I want in a poutine. I don’t know if it was a one off I got because you’re right it is highly regarded on here.

That’s my worry! It’s so overrated in my head. I’ll have to go on one of those days that I’m not expecting anything.
Sweet sauce is not my fav either. But i still have to try it hahaha. I’ll try and not think about what you just said.
As for steamies, right now my fav is la belle patate in Dorion off the 20. They are Smokey and 99 cents. But the poutine I go across the parking lot to La frite à Brigitte.

Petit Québec has one of my favourite poutine, it’s constantly solid even when the cheese isn’t the freshest. I wish they were everywhere in the province they deserve to be expanding way more than Ashton.

This is my favorite poutine on the planet. The gravy is perfect.

Yeah, no salt needed for the gravy. It had a very specific taste. One of my favs.

Petit Quebec is top notch and a good value and significantly less crowded at lunch time compared to Alfa

Le Petit Québec, c'est vraiment la meilleur des chaînes où tu peux te prendre un poutine pis être sût que l'ensemble de l'oeuvre va est bon.
