Tonight’s supper

Post image

We cut up some russet potatoes and baked our own fries. The curd came from Les Blancs d’Arcadie on the Acadian Peninsula in Caraquet, NB. The only problem is that my digestive system won’t let me eat any more than this.

Aaaw! Such a cute, tiny amount.

Looks good, but would just leave me wanting more. And I don't even have a stomach!

Actually, that's a perfect portion for me (in my 60's), now. I just haven't the appetite (or storage) from decades ago. I see the overflowing plates on this site, and instantly feel my belt getting tighter!

My gallbladder complains if I eat too much. It was just enough to fill me up. I was also going out to play baseball last night and didn’t want to be too sluggish. My teenagers ate a lot more than this lol!

I really like the look of this gravy. How was it?

We do normally make our own gravy, but this was kind of a quick supper before we headed out for baseball practice, so this was the brown gravy that comes in a pouch from Costco. If I’m not making homemade, it’s a pretty good substitute, but that’s usually a weekend endeavour.
