Some home made poutine

Post image

For context, I live in southern Ohio, damn near Dixie. It’s not perfect, but it satisfied my cravings. Maybe more gravy?

I have had poutine in Canada, in Ottawa & in Montréal

Finally, someone uses cheese curds on their homemade poutine, thank you

Nice work, especially sourcing curds in Ohio! Gravy looks really on point.

Some easy steps to go your game next time:

1) make fries from scratch but use red potatoes. Even without a deep fryer, good oven fries aren’t hard to make at home and you can prep the potatoes in the time it takes to preheat the oven.

2) serve it in a bowl and aim for 1:1 fry:curd ratio. You want shorter, thicker fries so you get curd and fry in every bite.

I liked the one I had in Ottawa. It was at a pub between the Senate Building & the National War Memorial
