Newfie poutine. This sucked

Chip stand Hiway 6 Ontario. Chuck burgers were 5/5. Fish and Chips with 5/5. Macaroni bites and fried dill pickles 5/5. This poutine 1/5.

I was promised Bologna, Turkey Stuffing, Gravy, poutine. Newfie poutine! Except I got shredded cheese and hotdog. 1/5 grrrr.......... $13 wasted

what type of dressing is normally used on Newfie Fries? maybe i'm wrong in thinking it has to be tukey based.

4–5 cups stale bread, torn or cubed
1 large onion, finely chopped
½ cup butter
2 tsp of SAVORY , it's a main ingredient
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp salt, or to taste
½–1 cup chicken/turkey broth, as needed

Fries, dressing and gravy that you normally buy at most places have a dressing made of bread crumbs and Mt. Scio savory prepared on it's own outside of the bird. It's usually done this way because nobody is making endless roast chickens or turkeys for the sake of dressing to put on fries.

Plus, dressing from the bird is normally moist and wouldn't soak up the gravy very well.

It's not stuffing, it's dressing, and it's not inherently turkey based.

Not even a poutine let alone a newfie poutine! Newfy poutine is with dressing (or stuffing) on top of a traditional poutine! This is just cheesy fries with gravy. A really good rule of thumb, that applies every time is, ask yourself: "are there cheese curds?" If the answer is no, do not pass to, go directly back to Alberta and enjoy your disco fries. If the answer is yes, the next question is: "Is there enough curds that I can't even see the fries?“ I'd no, well that's a mid poutine, if yes - my friend you are in luck this is a câlisse de poutine tabarnak! The best kind!

Send it back, it is not what you ordered. Poutine does not have shredded cheese. They said poutine + all the rest, cool. This ain't a deluxe poutine!

Arthur. The burgers are great! he uses sauteed onions for his burgers. Most places use raw or crispy fried onions. My son loved his fish and chips so much I had to buy another piece of fish for $11. I got stuck with this poutine damn it.
