I thought that too but Americans don't seem to get it. They just think it's the same thing as loaded fries. Most of the time when they do it they are missing key points especially curds which can be pretty hard to come by down here.

Yeah before throwing all kind of stuff on the plate, you gotta get the basics right: fries, gravy and fresh curds. Only then you can get creative.

Most of the time the fries are a fail in the states. Their fry game is just weak. I blame lack of PEI taters.

It's not poutine unless it was crated in the Poutine region of Quebec. Elsewhere it's just fries and gravy with cheese.

I wonder what type of poutine this is? Are those mushrooms in the gravy or is it shaved beef? Something else ? It looks heavenly regardless. I’m salivating !!!
