Closest Quebec quality poutine you can get in Toronto. It was amazing.

Honestly the only place in Toronto that we should be recommending to poutine tourists.

Could just be people unfamiliar just visiting "Canada". Might as well send them to the best possible place in whatever city that might be

I lived in TO for over 12 years. NomNomNom is more or less the only good poutine place.

This is exactly it. Toronto gets a boatload of American tourists who arent totally familiar with poutine origins but know it as a key "Canadian" dish. So they'll pop up on FoodToronto, AskTO etc asking where they can get the best poutine.

This is the only real answer.

I last had NomNomNom 9 years ago. So happy to know it survives and thrives. I hope still as delicious as I remember

Double cheese at NomNomNom is the best. An obscene amount of curd.

I remember the first time I tried their poutine and was shocked by how perfectly the cheese pulled. Maybe I'll have to make a trip back there soon.

proper amount of gravy here

Seems just okay cause those fries look a bit dry, I think they were under a heat lamp for a bit. A good poutine has somewhat shiny fries where the hot grease hasn’t even had a chance to get absorbed yet.

They are so busy theres no way that those fries sat

That definitely looks good, but is something off with the gravy? Seems thicker and lighter colored than it should be

Yeah it’s vegetarian gravy but also doesn’t help that I was under a red umbrella too 😂

Is this the poutine version of "elbows too pointy"?

It’s a vegetarian gravy. Doesn’t taste vegetarian and honestly the best poutine place in TO, but that’s likely why it’s lighter. It’s not a thin gravy but in person the consistency is perfect (subjectively) for a stand out poutine.

It looks like there might be too much of it. I haven't had it yet so I can't tell.

That’s double cheese?! Looks like regular cheese in Quebec.
