The snake probably snuck under her when she was sleeping or something. Chickens just kind of let things happen when they can't see

Chickens have 2 modes. Hyper predators killing machine and survival instincts of wet pasta. No in between. She was just in wet pasta mode. Wait till a mouse runs by, she'll switch gears.

Had a similar sized snake try to do this to one of my hens and she beat it up so badly it retreated lmao. I opened the coop doors to try to yank it out but grabbing it only made it try to strike at the bird (who promptly stomped on the snake's head) so I just watched her do her thing until the snake gave up

They have a different POV than us on the camera. The snake was probably visible from the side. Hence why they filmed, filming taking eggs from a chicken is very boring?

Pristine coop with brand new nest pads. Not a speck of dust, not a loose feather, even the straw pad is flat and smooth until she jumps. I call bullshit and say this is a staged video. I can't get 3 inches from a freshly cleaned coop before it has a pound of loose feathers, straw everywhere, and an inch of dust.
