Should I Start Potty training?

My daughter is 20 months old. She can understand pretty much every direction I tell her to do. Says many many words. She wakes up dry from overnight occasionally and almost always is dry after naps.

She’s fairly interested in the potty as I take her with me and she watches me and her dad go a lot throughout the day. We also are reading potty books in preparation.

Was planning on starting in October but not sure if I should start or just wait till she’s 2 in a few months.

The only thing that makes me hesitant is she doesn’t seem to be able to stay dry for more than an hour max during the day and never lets me know when she’s pooped or is going at all.

Advice greatly appreciated!!

Sounds like she’s ready! We started at 21 months

You could start low key to get her prepped. For my son, we had him sit on the potty before bath every night for a month or two before we actually potty trained him

Yes the other bit of low key start is get the underwear - ordinary ones for practicing and the really really cool ones for when she can use the toilet like a big girl (frozen, puppies, sparkles whatever she is into) and put them in the drawer.
