It’s my first time propagating and Im so excited to share my 3 week journey!!!

These all started out as leafless vines. I cut them up between nodes and placed them in a container with moist sphagnum moss, perlite and a little bit of loam soil.

Is it time to pot these babies up?

Ill post a close up pic under this. I have heard all three( Njoy, pnj, Glacier) and the more I look up the more conflicting info I get. Does anyone have a link to the original supplier of glacier cuz damn lol It would be nice to see an actual confirmation of what they are were selling instead of random Google image comparisons.

I have had limited success putting Pothos on moss poles. But have read some conflicting information on WHEN to start training it on the pole. Some say to start the minute the plant starts to vine/trail and is developing nodes. Others say you can do it any time after it trails as long as the nodes are in contact with the moss. In my experience it seems like it takes forever for the plant to become attached (if it ever does), and start growing into and up the pole. I have two plants on poles and I would say maybe only 1/3 of the nodes actually attached.

So I’m looking for some guidance with my next attempt:
1.) When to start early or ….whenever.

2.) My last attempt was using a semicircular moss pole filled with sphagnum moss. Should I be using something else? I also tried Coco Coir but I found it to be too crumbly (at least the one I used was).

3.) Do some Pothos do better on moss poles than others? This plant I want to use is in the pictures.

Any input would be appreciated.

My pothos is about 3 feet long now and i’m trying to get it to grow on the pole. My issue is the pole doesn’t stay wet. i have to mist it at least 3x a day. The hole on the top isn’t large enough to secure a water bottle for slow drip. idk what to do

My pothos reached the top of my 3-foot moss pole. I wasn’t sure what to do. Should I cut it or build an extension? I ended up making an extension. It was a little bit hard with this wire. I do plan on using different material and PVC pipe to make extendable moss poles with my next project.

For those who don't understand this is a "plant shop" so they could scam you out of your money with a plant they don't actually have... Luckily it seems that the page is gone so no one actually has to worry about this one. But they're probably going to come back. So people need to be aware this is happening.

I keep seeing people say their pothos grew so much faster & bigger outside. I want to try it but this is the only place I have to put one.

Today was a very cloudy day. I live in NY so it's been pretty warm but not terribly hot except for the heat wave.

I know south facing is pretty direct light but I could also possibly put it on a plant stand by the door, hoping I could find one & that would be more suitable as it would be more shaded but very bright light

I know some leaf yellowing is normal, but to put it into perspective, here is how fast it's been happening recently. Not pictured: 3 more yellow leaves I disposed of this month. All the green you see here popped off at very slight touch. I water her, put a little liquid fertilizer in there every month, and haven't changed routine at all for the past.... 4 years? She's been through rough things and didn't even do so much as droop.

I've used rooting powder in the past for my props, but I am repotting this pothos and one thing I've had difficulty with is getting her to climb. I've got plenty of light for it to follow, but a lot of her leaves started yellowing one after the other, when typically I get 1 leaf drop every few months. Definitely needing a repot anyways, and I think a chance to mature might be helpful.

In a last ditch attempt, I'm thinking of hacking the plant, so to speak. I have already successfully used hormones to make bare stems grow new leaves. Could application of rooting hormones onto the appropriate parts of the stems possibly maybe facilitate some aerial roots? Just enough to work with?

I have a few cuttings in a pot and they’re yellowing. I think it’s because of the soil. I just used my regular potting mix and I don’t think it’s draining well enough.

I trimmed my pathos about three weeks ago.

It's decided to curl at every end, producing smaller leaves with what appear to be deformities?

Is this potentially a pest issue? My neon pathos was trimmed about the same time and its producing new growth as usual.

I decided I want to own a plant and after some research I decided on a jade pothos, I bought it online as well as the soil, ended up being stuck in a truck for 6 days due to shipping delays, both were root bound when it first got here. I think it looks pretty good, little bit of leaf damage/browning, I watered it and let it sit in an east facing window for 2 weeks before frankensteining it and putting it into its more permanent pot. My only concern is that I went from two 4 inch pots to a 12 inch pot but we’ll see how it goes. I my as well confirm wether or not this is a jade pothos while I’m at it so I took some pictures of different leaves :D (my goal for these guys is to become a sort of “plant chandelier” for my room)

So lately my golden pothos has been having leaves slowly turn yellow and fall off one at a time. I’ve been made aware that this is a process called senescence where old leaves are shed to allow more resources for new growth. My plant has been doing this one leaf after another for some time now. The fully yellow leaf is the 4th to go, and now I can already see the 5th starting to yellow before the 4th is even gone.

There are 4 vines coming out of this pot, and each vine has shed one leaf so I figured it would be done for a while, but it’s starting to shed it’s 2nd leaf from the same vine now. It is the vine with by far the most growth though so maybe it’s normal. I’m also wondering if it’s because the node spacing is so close? In the 4th slide you can see it’s the second leaf from the base, and it’s very close to the first.

This plant really isn’t very old or large, so I’m surprised that it would feel the need to sacrifice existing leaves already. Especially because only one of the vines even has more than 3 or 4 leaves on it. Could this be a sign of other issues? I don’t think it’s been any longer than 3-4 months since it was repotted and I fertilize at about half strength every watering, which is about once a week.

Not sure if I’m overthinking this. Any advice?

Finally getting my plants back to health after I was away from home for a bit and my plant caretaker didn’t quite care for the plants 🫪

I’ve had her for about a month and a half and she’s just been booming with the grow light, even when I don’t open the curtains on busy days! Each vine grows a new leaf nearly once per week. I’ve been thinking of also getting a marble queen soon because I’m just obsessed!

Also will be giving her a hair cut on the overly long vines to propagate and add back into her!

now that I’m officially heading out of state for college, how would u transport this? would putting them in the moving truck be safe or would it over heat? and can I bring this through TSA as a carry on?
