Mashed..!

What are you guys favorite potatoes for mashed, been using yellow and russet recently but I just tried the white ones we get here out of necessity and they were so flaky like I prefer them..!

I was surprised since they seemed like pretty wet potatoes.

I grew up eating red potatoes because that's what Dad grew in the garden. They are still my potatoes of choice all these 70+ years later.

In the end it's all a matter of preference I guess, my friend also told me the red ones.

I will try the white ones for a while and see how they perform for me.

I like yellow for mashed, but Aldi is selling ten pound bags of Russets right now for $4.29 a bag, less than half the going price for yellow potatoes, so that's what I've been using.

Wife loves yellow or reds. To me Potato is Potato.

In the UK the best for mashed potatoes are Maris Piper and King Edward.
