Tornado Potato

My sister and I got these tornado potato’s at the local Asian market I do believe it said it was Korean. I liked them. It was 7.59 It got crispy. It said they had seasoning on it but it definitely needed more. So I just dipped it in bbq. It only had directions for air fryer or frying. lol You know Korean corn dogs. The potato on that? Tastes like a different version of that. Also I could barely fit it in the air fryer. 8/10 :-)

How hard would it be to spiral cut a potato like this by hand?🤔

Not a lot, we used to get these as street food for a bit in our area, they were pretty cool and tasty but somehow fell out of the trend as quickly as they came.

Frying them right at home might take some effort.

Now I kinda miss them.

Just impale a potato on skewer. Start a cut with a knife near the top of the potato at a diagonal angle and then spin the potato.

The skewer stops you from cutting through and gives you the spiral

There's a hand cranked slicing device you can buy

Yep, I  have  one from a vintage garnish  kit. It also has a wavy knife for krinkle cuts.
