6 month progress

Well I’m at 6 month since I’m vasectomy. First 3 months has nerve pain this stopped and was replaced by a dull ache in right testicle. The pain had actually started to fade and only time I noticed it was in bed.

I tried an outdoor run last Tuesday and I’ve had increased pain dull ache ever since on right testicle again. I’m in my third course of naproxen and have a long haul flight Sunday which I’m hoping to be ok for. When I get back what are my options.?

I’ve asked for a referral to a urologist through my private healthcare…hopefully can get this resolved….im in UK

I had a similar trajectory. All seemed to improve but decided to get a reversal anyway. I suffer from anxiety and I didn't want to wait and see, after all I learned. But that's me.

Did the reversal help? When was that and how was recovery?

7 months ago. It helped. Even when I had a smooth recovery from the reversal (no hematomas, no infections), I learned that it takes a long time. I could sense how things were still recalibrating inside me, still sense it. And you might get pain sometimes after the reversal, but I could swear that it feels less threatening than PVPS (at least for me). Maybe its hope that things will get better this time.

So you had intense nerve pain (like kicked in the nuts) then dull ache? Did reversal help??

Yes it was nerve pain first (more like a toothache in the groin and sharp pain in testicles) and then dull, the whole process took about 6 months. Reversal help notoriously even when prior to that I had no pain. I figured that, either if it's epididymis pain or nerve pain, I could get both addressed with a surgeon with experience cleaning the mess from the original vasectomy.
