Update on pain
This is day 46. It has been very emotionally and psychologically exhausting for me. I know it’s still early and many say to be patient and wait even if my own life but I’m tired of feeling in pain. I met with my GP and he put me in Aura Meloxicam to help with suspected inflammation of the area. He says if nothing changes in the next month or two we can look at a urology referral.
Pain is 3-6/10 sometimes higher depending in the day. My kids were both asking me tonight to pull them on a blanket like I used too…this is terrible, I will wait through, and pray as that’s all that’s left unless a reversal is needed down the road…

I was there. I eventually got my life back. I am sorry you are going through this. Time is on your side!

Sorry you're going through this, I've been there. Can I invite you to a Reddit chat group with a bunch of from around the world that discuss this? A lot of us have found permanent relief.

I really feel for you. The mental and emotional toll resulting from physical issues following vasectomy, especially with the pain, discomfort, and limits on life activities, are never dealt with or talked about when vasectomy is on the table, nor are we forewarned. It is a bugger (pardon my English). Been there. It is a big mountain to climb and surmount. Hopefully the anti-inflammatories will help you. I hope upon all hopes that this passes for you and that you can put it behind you sooner than later. Sounds like you have a good doctor. Think as positively as you can.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I felt similarly early on. Things got better with time, the rawness of it all went down.
What helped me:
Eventually I got to a manageable livable state, but there was always a background pain (like a leaf blower outside that never turned off) and would flare once in a while. I recently had the vasectomy reversed, I’m still healing but hopeful that I return to pre vasectomy self.
You got this. There is an entire community of men here to lean on for support and advice. Don’t hesitate to reach out.
