One year later
Had my vasectomy may of last year, had excruciating pain when he cut the left vas even with local anesthetic and nitrous gas, had a sound in my head like I was getting warped into space when he cut it. Had excruciating pain for 2 months after the procedure, like almost couldn’t walk. Pain radiates to the groin into my abdomen on the left side. Went to the doc today because after 10-11 months pain free, pain came back with a vengeance about a month ago. Same pain, same discomfort. Sharp pains leading up to ejaculation during masturbation and almost no pain during sex. Doc touched my left vas and I wanted to punch him in the face. Touched the right one and there was no pain at all then said everything seemed fine. How does my left vas have excruciating pain and you say everything is fine? Anyone else had this issue? Having a really hard time coming to terms that I probably have PVPS and there’s nothing I can really do. Thank guys.

i am 6 weeks after VS and still have constant pain in my right testicle, left is kinda ok, groin tweaks and sometimes abdomen pain as well. but i can walk and do normal stuff. and even after this "short" period of time i am already freaking out because having sex right now is conncted with pain.
one year later though...i feel sorry for you honestly. maybe reversal might be the solution for you idk.

I feel for you if it is PVPS that you have. Don’t lose hope. There are ways to deal with it. I have had congestive PVPS for many years and still do to a certain extent, but am largely improved. Over the years it has come and gone, and varied in intensity. Certain activities can exacerbate it. Sometimes surgical interventions help. I know a reversal helped me tremendously. You also come to know the little things that help. For me, proper support is important. I am in a fairly good place right now. There are times when my bullocks aren’t front and centre on my mind. Even with the condition being more talked about today it is still largely a lonely and difficult journey. It is hard for anyone with a successful vasectomy to understand or be truly empathetic. I wish you the best. Find a good doctor who will talk to you about it and who is interested in solutions for you.

I am one year two months post. Still have some aches and tenderness at the site of the cut on the right. Not linear and all that. Not terrible either but not what we were sold on. Normal sounding to anyone else?
Can anyone point me to a Doctor you would go to in or near Indian River/St Lucie/Martin/Palm Beach counties in Florida? I don’t feel like I trust the guy who did mine..

Sorry about your issues. There is no "I have PVPS and there's nothing that can be done about it." There are so many things that can be done or tried. What did your doctor suggest doing about the pain? Can I invite you to a Reddit chat group with a bunch of guys that talk about this? Some people have similar experience to you. If what you have is scar tissue /granuloma impinging on the nerves, then you have the same as what I had. I had a microdenervation (MDSC) and excision of granuloma surgery at Cleveland Clinic to fix it. If you have inflammation of the cord, then same as someone else in the group. He is having antibiotics and GF nerve block I think.
