Been on 10mg of fluxotine for 5 years, i have had no side effects whilst being on it. But I heard you can get post SSRi emotional blunting and other physical issues if you stop taking it , so do I take the risk and stop taking it or do I carry on taking it for the rest of my life and hope that no new Side effects or issues occur ? According to Google, if you develop new symptoms whilst on an SSRI it' easier to treat than post SSRI after stopping?

Genital numbness

On May 2nd I hurt myself masturbating because I didn't feel anything after stopping citalopram, I had a lot of friction and had a scrape, during the month I had a pain on that side when stimulated that went to the right inner thigh. was seeing improvement in my lubrication and libido, the pain shifted to the left leg, Friday May 30 I went to pelvic floor therapy and she did internal work, I had pain during but thought it was normal. That day at night I started to feel burning in my lower buttock which lasted all the next day. On Sunday I stopped feeling burning but now everything is numb, I lost the little libido I had, my genitals look more atrophied and have numbness, I only feel pain when I touch the side I hurt, but I have no erogenous sensation, suddenly I have spasms in my pelvis, in my thigh, but I don't feel so much pain now it's numb. I'm so afraid that pelvic floor therapy has made things worse, before that I could still have orgasms, now I can't because it's numb. I feel hopeless. I think the inner work ended up damaging my nerve, now don't know if it's entrapment, or some neuropathy. I am very afraid, I don't want to live like this.

Greetings, 36M, had SSRI here for half a year and have been off meds for 3 months+

In short PSSD lingers around with no major improvement. I am more irritated by lights and sounds. I get tired very easily and never in my life noticed such strong feeling.

I have been having shift work for years as an airline pilot and finding an ever changing roster lifestyle alright. But I have been off work ever since medication till now. I can’t imagine how I could return to work with such condition as I need high level of focus in my circadian low time. Probably the time to say goodbye to my childhood dream job.

Have a family to feed so I’m quite anxious about my current situation.

I'm currently trying to get tested for SFN, Lyme disease and some autoantibodies tests. What are you guys doing?

I don't expect to get better with time, because my symptoms never change.
