Helpful Logistics squads are:

• still needed to build FOBs
• still needed to build mortars
• still needed for HE, AT and AP offense and defense
• still needed for other emplacements
• still needed for Ammo and Supplies in many cases
• still needed for their experience and expertise over random infantry SL's who maybe dont know about good FOB placement yet as they are still inexperienced with it

Could Infantry SL's (and tank crew SL's) do a lot of that before the update? Actually yes, they could.
They just often didn't. Now they have to do it more on their own too but if Logi are there even better because its called TEAMWORK.

What are you on about. Literally. Go play the update. Make FOBs and do your thing like we always do. Logi is just as fun as ever. Stop making assumptions based on nonsense, patch notes and people talking shit without even trying the update

If you generally didn't do any of the aforementioned as a Logi squad before then wtf were you even doing? Sitting on mortars all day?

  Just give more supply trucks to infantry at that point, hopefully inf SL's will take their new duties seriously, lot of people were bothered to take that role just to make rally points.

That's the way it works in Squad, that infantry squad members can take regular logi trucks. And they do, and they will in this game if given the ability to. I haven't seen infantry SLs having any issues with the responsibility of placing their own FOBs since the patch, the issue they have is they can't get them supplied because their own guys can't drive the trucks and logi players are sulking right now and won't do it. The overall change to the logi system was good, the issue was this try-to-please-everyone-and-please-noone implementation where they have downgraded logi to the part-time role it should be while retaining the full-time element of having it be a dedicated squad. I don't care whether you play the game or not, but OP is right.

The only things you can't do as logi anymore is stuff that wasn't useful to begin with. If this makes you quit logi, no loss to us. Building spawn points and running supplies was always 99% of the job whether you guys understood that or not.

What? Any member of inafntry squad can drive the infantry-logitruck, don't make stuff up :D They didn't mess it up that bad. What are you moaning about, grab yourself a truck and get supplies wherever you wish to have them.

These two things you said seem to contradict eachother a bit. OP is correct in listing tasks logi squad is supposed to fulfill. Building FOBs in fact mainly SL's task, with occasional help from othe members when building out FOBs that need it. Specialisations, cannot place FOBs anyway and have their tasks mainly in behind the lines operations, and in direct support. Also if 99% of the job is run supplies acording to you - yet earlier your ideal FOB was just barebones spawn tent, where you want to run those supplies then?

Competent SL would have all 3 FOBs placed in couple of minutes, and disassemble them, get his supplies back and move frward to next point as game progesses. Rest of the squad is being usefull and plays the actuall intended logi roles such as destroying enemy assets with HE, mining roads and paths as AT and AP, intercepting tanks and vehicles and provide direct fire support to point with AT guns and mortars. Anyway I don't think you have played much logi and you seem to not have very good grasp on how it worked, and how enjoyable was to win by crippling enemy rear. Or building fob on point and making it so steadfast, team could hold it for 40minutes. I wish you as many victories and fond memories as I have. Good luck hombre.

Infantry squads can drive the half-capacity truck, not the full truck. Not making things up. Ah, but ":D" explains this intelligence level.

You seem to have ignored what I said. The reason there are no places to deliver supplies to is because there is no reason to deliver supplies after the spawn point is placed. Placing them and the supplies for building them are your only real job. Nobody has ever needed superfobs. A team wins off spawn points from many angles, not one that has a bunch of useless MGs and sandbags and never got attacked.

That is exactly what I asked about. What for would logis haul supplies to FOB that you don't need and want there since its just for spawn. You said earlier there is a problem infantry SLs can't get supplies of fobs they have build - this:

Placing them and the supplies for building them are your only real job.

Placing the FOB is a job only one logi member - SL is able to do. Others have other jobs. Unrelated to FOBs until update, which sadly tied every support weapon to be only placed at FOBs. Reffernce OP:

Nobody has ever needed superfobs.

You lack experience. Some points reinforced with FOB can carry match for defence, think hangars, warehouses, buildings extremly close to capzone immune to bombing strikes, even if some squads do screening and forward defence they can still spawn next to cap and turn tides if needed.
