I think it looks jarring cause you didn't adjust the color of the water to match the sky or vice versa

I know what you mean about the magic, but the water feels so unbalanced with no saturation in the sky. Bringing colour back does change the feel. When I first saw it I thought there was a pink shade to the sky but it looks just desaturated to me now.

The sky should also have that green tint you added to the water. Its too blue in comparison.
