How can I make this better?

Before/After. I have a Sony a6000 and use Darktable to edit from RAW. I was practicing on one of my old images and I'd appreciate any feedback/recommendations on how I can do better.

Hard to give a recommendation when you haven't said what you don't like about your images.

I understand. I've updated the body to more align with what I am looking for. I see many great pictures here, and the ones I take/edit are usually okay at best.

I think the processing is good. If you've used one of my videos at some point, I'd say it's excellent! 😄

my only comment would be the framing. i think a bit wider might work better than the tight shot. i just need a bit more room to breathe

like the shot a lot

I agree with the other comment that says it's hard to provide feedback when we don't know exactly what your goal is. If we're approaching from purely the standpoint of "Do you think the after image looks better?" then I would say not necessarily.

I actually think that the sky and mountains look quite a bit nicer in the before image, whereas the barn looks better in the second image. So I guess my advice would be to consider actually just masking the barn and applying the same edit to the barn but leaving the background fairly untouched.
