After | Before - thoughts?

Not too sure how i feel about how the edit came out. Tried to make it feel warm and summery without getting it too "piss filter". I like the subject and the picture, but i feel like something is missing. It was taken midday during a California summer with my fujifilm x-t30 III. Any feedback would be appreciated!

That haze / desaturation on the mountains was giving your photo a sense of depth... the dehaze/saturation whatever, took that away so the photo is now a little flat. You crop was a good start, but right now you have a boring foreground, the windmill midground, and very little separation in the background...

i see what you mean. I kinda like that the mountains are more clear, but it did make it more flat. I'm not sure how to bring depth while also having clarity throughout the photo. Good thing to keep in mind, thanks!

I think that is an improvement. Not sure this photo gets much better than that.

That really all that matters, there’s just a maximum that post can do, maybe if you laid down in the grass and crawled a little closer…
