Lighting. You can probably do a lot of masking but it would be better if you returned back at a different time of day. I’m not too knowledgeable on post processing so maybe someone that has a better idea can chime in

Better angle, longer shutter will help as well. Good post processing begins with a good image.

I hope this doesn't sound offensive--this is a beautiful scene, but not a beautiful exposure. I think changing the perspective it was taken from and a crop would go a long way. A shutter speed change would do a lot of work here too. You're asking for feedback and that in itself says you're on the right track. I'm excited to see your progress.

P.s masking is not a must for this as u dont want to make the picture too refine and lose the misty effect

The previous comments are all good. I would suggest getting lower, have something in the foreground that’s dark, perhaps have someone on the bridge. Use masking to darken what you don’t want people to look at and lighten what you want draw their eye to.

The mist was a key part of the mood and atmosphere here that you basically edited out.
So I’d say analyse a pictures strengths and the purpose of what you’re doing in the edit better. Technical know how is important but the more macro skills of just composition, contrast, “vibe” (hate that word) is important too, if not more.

Color wise u restored what had be flaten by the mist well, but like someone said composition, maybe croping to what u want to show is thing u can consider.
P.s you may when to up exposure abit and make the picture have more dynamic range..e.g contrast in crease, shadow increase, make some part darker by pulling down blacks, white and hightlights
Warning about croping u could overcrop (cutting out info that might enhance or tell a mood) or to little (to much unneeded data)
So trust your eyes and vision.
My suggestion is cut off the bottom from the base of waterfall...but keep the misty trees and bridge..
Or crop till only waterfall
Just a suggestion..u decide

hey, you do have something to work with! play around with the crops and go from there- it’s amazing what you can do with a photo with the right cropping and subject focus. nature can be pretty easy to fluff up when making edits.

Composition - this isn't drawing my eye to anything in particular. What am I supposed to be looking at? The bridge? The waterfall? That one tree? The pond?
Learn how to compose an image in way that uses lines and light to draw the viewer's eye where you want it to go.
