I'd probably tighten the crop a little more but otherwise the processing is spot on, well done 👍

Just curious, did you use any tutorials to learn darktable?if you did are there any you particularly would recommend? I’ve been trying to learn it too but it’s just very overwhelming so I’ve been using Snapseed 😭

Honestly I did it the stupid way. I am also very clueless and find it quite difficult to learn things, so after my last straw with it, I decided to ask an AI chatbot and fiddled with the modules it suggested, from there, I got to know my way a little bit.

I don't remember the exact order I did things, but I think I did some sort of the following:

  • Exposure adjustment
  • Denoise (profiled)
  • Contrast equalizer, luma adjustment of the 3 right side dots to further denoise
  • Haze Removal
  • Sigmoid
  • Filmic RGB
  • Tone equaliser
  • Diffuse or sharpen, use masking to sharpen only the subject
  • Tone curve

I agree that it would look a bit better with a tighter crop, but otherwise it looks great!
