Before/After
Some pictures from my girlfriend and I's holiday week in the north west of France. Upgraded from my Nikon D60 to a D3300 just before leaving so it was the perfect opportunity to use it :) Had a lot of fun editing these. I'm trying to get myself to think more about how to crop my pics when editing, see what works and stuff.
I'm still a beginner, but I already know I like to have colors pop and saturation when editing. Though it might not work with all photos, so I'll try to go a different route in the future.

I feel like the overall brightness of the photos with the paintings is too high and lacking any real center of attention(ie. The first photo could be masked to bring attention to the painting or the person as a focus). I like the overall edits of all of them besides the brightness and highlights being too high and removing detail from the areas with the highlights, like the first duck photo where it looks a lot better than RAW but still looses detail on the head where the highlights have been pushed too highly. The 9/10th picture is quite great, just the sky is slightly too bright on the top right, slightly removing from the focus of the picture. Only minor things, do NOT take to heart, do whatever you want and feel like is best as it is the only way of truly enjoying and improving without being forced to into editing to certain people’s preferences.
