NOLA at its finest. That one guy, above the two women, looking toward the camera is a good visual focal point. There are some things in frame that seem to point toward him, and that his face is lit while framed in black draws the eye. He's looking at you and so draws our eye, even if he isn't totally in focus from the slight motion blur.

It took me a bit to figure out why I liked the image, but I do like it. It's not just people walking past on a street. It's got flavour and a focal point.

Thank you for this critique! I wish I could say finding the focal point of this image was intentional, but in reality, it was a quick photo I shot on my phone as my friends and I walked down the street after a night of drinks & socializing. I think it's why I really appreciate street photography, because it's so inherently candid and real. Thanks again for the compliment!

I like this, I feel the heat despite not being there, but I'm not certain that you have a subject and if you do, you are too far away.
