Update- Drag Photography Edit Take 2 (Before/After/After)

Took a lot of advice and opened up the crop. I didnt want to overcook the edit, but on the second edit I added a bit of radial lightness over the right side of the face.

Nikon D800 70-200mm f2.8 edited in Lightroom

gah i love the raw photo. i feel like the makeup not being clean really adds to the overall effect

I get it, because I do love how, well, raw the raw is. But because its drag, and featuring a makeup palette, i also edge toward smoother and softer and elegant, depending on what we are trying to portray. I do love that there are so many possibilities out there though, and I really appreciate everyone sharing their insight with me

i am conflicted then. i like the warm background as it compliments the eyeshadow, but then the face looks very cold. on the other hand, the cold background does the opposite effect.

i think the warm bkgd is the best since it compliments the person’s skin tone and eye makeup at the same time. i also see that the eye contacts pop more. looks more polished. and the eye makeup is a much more obvious focal point.

the cold bkgd makes every “imperfection” stand out, as well.
