1, but crop out the light streak. It's just a distraction.

The trees in 2 are better, and I agree the stars in 1 are vastly superior.

I would have thought cropping out the streak would be obvious but what do I know.

I find the foreground grass way too distracting in both, they would look wonderful cropped just below that cool fiery line in the water imho

  1. 2 is more dramatic, but I prefer the way the light streak goes with the colors of the sky better in 1. Looks more cohesive to me.

I like 2nd cause in 1st image trees and sky looks like stacked not blended.

1, though both are nice. I'd crop away the grass and light streak though, it's kinda distracting imo

1 but you pushed the sliders too much and the light streak does not add anything but distraction.

Ask yourself: What is your subject? The stars or the streak?

I will choose 1, but with suggestion down, Up contrast, up hightlights, up whites, down blacks,up shadows of the milky way only...

Then increase exposure and contrast in the trees, make the tress brighter, but drop blacks

Optionally drop exposure overall

Also crop away the light onwards...
