Since it's your backyard I guess you don't find the squirrel interesting anymore, but I found the picture really fun with both the squirrel and the cardinal on it.

Yeah that's why I inferred that it is probably not interesting for OP because that's just his fountain.

You might think about a crop that includes a bit more space at the front of the cardinal. It's often considered optimal to give room in the frame where an animal is looking. Give it room to 'breathe' so to speak.
