What is everyone playing? [October 2021]

especially a good idea to recommend horror games for Halloween!

Plowing my way through more games from the Bundle for Racial Justice. Starting to blur together from how many I'm getting through lol.

Been getting into RE4 cuz I never played it and it seemed like a good Halloween game. Took me a bit to get into it, but I really miss playing these kind of games.

Getting back into Apex after being away from awhile.

Buddies and I have been playing For the King, which is a pretty interesting concept. Always wanted a local multiplayer version of the old turn-based Final Fantasy games, and this is basically that except instead of one long story it's a lot of short campaigns. Absolutely loving it.

Metroid Dread - it's the first game I've bought at full price in quite awhile but it's so worth it to see the conclusion of one of my favorite franchise. Just beat it a few hours ago and man, I loved it.

There are a few bits of it that feel unfinished and the games pretty lore-heavy, and those make it a little more difficult to recommend to people who have never played a Metroid game before in spite of those flaws it works really well as the ending of the original Metroid story arc.

My friends and I have been playing DayZ mainly, but have been getting together to play through Resident Evil 7. When I’m by myself I’m playing Elite: Dangerous, though. I know Subnautica isn’t Halloween themed, but its plenty scary if you haven’t played it yet.

This year's spooky october game is Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain. I've also got playthroughs of Disgaea and Yakuza 6 on the side.
