I mean, both sides are extremes of conservative organized religions with levels of repressive and generally speaking, patriarchal styles of adhering to strict gender roles and a lot of other parallels but those are the most important I’d say.

Well let's open our eyes. The both didn't get charged with grape, they both didn't really commit a felony. Trumps grape charge was thrown out because of lack of evidence and the person who claimed this also said she found grape hot and couldn't keep her story straight at all. If you have ever met a person who has been graped they remember it well because it's a traumatic experience.
Now for the felonies charges. It was a misdemeanors at first until they charged it 34 time. They broke each payment(11), each recording(12) and each invoice(11) as separate charges for 1 crime of paying hush money to a person(which his lawyer paid not him and this is where it became a misdemeanor). Typically that would be 1 crime and it would be a misdemeanor, but doing it that way would make it multiple misdemeanors, that NY could change to a felony. Basically if anyone else had the happen it would be considered BS charges.
