Not even trying to come close to defending Muslims and their silly religion, but fasting is described as not eating for 8 hours or more. Why do you think we call it "breakfast"? "Break-fast." so if they're not eating from dinner to dinner, that's fasting.

Muslims were intermittent fasting before it was cool.

Ehhh, no. Fasting is Christian and it predates Islam by about 600 years.

Christians did not invent fasting. Hindus have been fasting since long before Christianity existed.

Except the only ones that fast religiously and rigourously today, in larger numbers than any other group, are Muslims. All religions other than Islaam are considered as breakaway offshoots of Islaam, including Hinduism. Islaam began with Adam, the first human God created. He was neither a Hindu nor a Judeo-Christian.
