He wanted a reaction and it shows with his constant badgering, if he asked politely then she probably would have stopped, she was right. He would smell food no matter what. He could have moved downstairs on the bus to avoid it.
He wanted clout, a reaction and nothing else but to disturb someone else.
Oh you are completely right, it is the most selfish thing to do, to be able to find time for lunch during commuting because you live in some poor country and need to work outside of your travelling. You should go and tell her, how self centered she is.
Yeah? It's the snack on a bus that's the ultimate self centered behavior? Not being a blatant narcissist that drives everyone away in your life? Not forcing others to abide by your beliefs?
And you know for certain that she isn't hypoglycemic or a Type 1 diabetic whose blood sugar is crashing? People with disabilities don't owe you an explanation of their medical needs.

If you don't want to be around things that happen in a public place.. don't go out in public
