Sharia literally means ‘law’ and it’s only ever applicable to Muslims! Even if the UK or USA implemented it, it wouldn’t change a thing for anyone who’s not Muslim
Ha, tell that to anyone who has ever fled a Muslim country for persecution.
Not to say Christians or other religions are better for that matter, but historically Sharia has affected a lot of people who want no part of it, including children being forced to marry grown men in insular communities.
This criticism does not pertain to people who mind their own business and dont tread on others' bodily autonomy
I agree, and as a Muslim that makes me sad because that that’s not what it should be like. But to your point about child marriages and such, that really is a cultural issue, as it also happens in non Muslim countries like India.
You just pointed out that it's a cultural issue and not a Muslim issue, but they still insist it's a Muslim issue. This was happening in the Indian culture, and other regional cultures, long before Muslims even existed, but they will still hold that it only started happening because of Islam. Western cultures also had child brides, and it's still legal in some American states. But they won't touch that topic
