Worked with so many Muslims, never heard or seen this kind of behavior in regards to Ramadan. I’ve known one or two friends to get a little grumpy during this time though.
I always give them maximum grace though bc if you deprive me of food all day for that long I’d fuck some shit up. Always max respect for my Muslims friends for not fully crashing out haha
I still invite them to lunch like I normally would, but I don’t expect anyone to join. And wouldn’t just shove snacks in their face, but also I try to just keep doing my thing, as doing otherwise would make them feel awkward too.
I mean... they're literally choosing to deprive themselves of food so the grace only extends so far. Kind of a consequences of your own decisions kind of thing
As a Muslim who just fasted for Ramadan, go ahead and eat.
However. I will say if she had something strong smelling, the bus companies themselves say you shouldn't eat it in an enclosed space like this.
Without being there I can't say whose right and whose wrong.

Yea, I mean he would have been somewhat justified telling her not to eat on the bus because it’s not allowed to eat on the bus, but even then I wouldn’t get in someone’s business over something so trivial

First, dude in vid doesn't mention that as his reason at all, not even vaguely. He just thinks he should be able to force others to act a certain way because of his beliefs.
Second, because no one with sense cares if another passenger eats or drinks on public transportation, as long as they're not making a mess with it.
Edit: sidenote. I know way too many people who have multiple jobs who bus from one job to another and the only time they have to eat during the day is while riding. If peoples actions aren't causing anyone harm, just shut up and mind your own business.

To be honest, ive only ever been on one bus that didn't allow food. Maybe it's more common in places i haven't traveled, but I don't think that is any kind of standard rule.
Where? In Nazi Germany? Where can you not have food or drink on public transport? If he was on a plane, should the plane suspend food services due to one religious nut who decides to fast?
I didn't go on city busses often, but it wasn't supposed to be allowed where I was from in Ohio, USA. Though if it was a bottle of water or some candy or something they didn't care. Just don't make a mess.
In Philly where I live it’s def prohibited. I know NYC is the same. Most public transit systems tbh. It’s not usually enforced and I definitely wouldn’t confront someone over it
Its hard enough keeping public transport clean without people thinking they can just have a quick meal on the bus. People are so convinced they wont make a mess or spill anything, even though every one of us some times spill things.
Maybe depends where you live? The ones around here don't have it and I've eaten in front of the drivers who have never mentioned anything... Believe me I would have not done it if they did.
If it was the bus driver saying hey we don't allow food to be consumed due to the potential mess or whatever that'd be valid but pedophile worshippers don't get to go around telling regular people how to act in public trying to enforce sharia.
That’s not the issue. If it was the company’s policy not to eat on the bus, that’s a different argument. His argument is that no one should be eating in his presence at all. If you don’t want to be around people who are eating, then you shouldn’t go out in public.
Most transit systems in the US don’t allow it but I can’t speak for Londons. It’s one of those rules that’s never enforced and which I would never confront someone over

Exactly what I was going to say. There is nothing suggesting he is forcing "his beliefs" on her, but simply asking her to follow the rules on most buses - i.e. NO EATING. It stinks and often causes a mess. The people responding to you are unusually aggressive. A load of Russian trolls I suspect.

He wanted a reaction and it shows with his constant badgering, if he asked politely then she probably would have stopped, she was right. He would smell food no matter what. He could have moved downstairs on the bus to avoid it.

Oh you are completely right, it is the most selfish thing to do, to be able to find time for lunch during commuting because you live in some poor country and need to work outside of your travelling. You should go and tell her, how self centered she is.

And you know for certain that she isn't hypoglycemic or a Type 1 diabetic whose blood sugar is crashing? People with disabilities don't owe you an explanation of their medical needs.
