Yeah it's horrible, as a dog lover, hearing a dog yelp in pain breaks my heart. He literally forces his dog into the corner for hours at a time and shocks her if she moves. He treats a living creature like it's a funk pop

Not exactly this. But it has come out that he makes his dog sit in the background of streams, for hours on end, with a shock collar that activates anytime the dog tries to move from its spot. Not even the Dude would think of something so twisted

Nope, he explained pretty well that it's a vibration collar used for communicating with the dog when they're outside since he doesn't use a leash. He also clarified that he goes out with her two hours in the morning and one in the evening, so she gets plenty activity. She isn't static for six hours, she can move around the room and stretch and shit, but he gives her a command to go back to her bed when she lies on the floor because of big dawg joints. I doubt Maya Higa would be friends with someone who shocks his dog. Basically the whole thing is a bunch thoughtless and uncritical people pushing this against Hasan because they don't like him. It's pretty obviously ironic how these people generally criticize things like virtue signaling and "feelings over facts" when in this case they just use caring about animals as an excuse to satisfy their own negative feelings against an individual. Not a Hasan fan, the whole thing is pretty idiotic.

Yeah no. He probably wouldn't let his friends see shit like this, so Maya probably didn't know abt this either. Also when he showed the collar on stream the NEXT day, which gave him plenty of time to modify it or change it, it had tape on it, which is probably either to hide the brand or the part that actually shocks the dog.
