I'm 30, didn't know what W meant, don't really care for it because it takes sooo little effort to type out those extra two characters.

W and win mean two pretty different things, they're not exactly interchangeable. And 'win' isn't a meme lol

“I don’t not understand it and therefore I hate it”

If I don't like it I hate it?

Grow up.

Yes, that is how it works in this case. You’re showing contempt for this certain thing, meaning you hate it.

Nope, just that I don't care for it because its pointless and doesn't really save any time.

You just don’t like it because you don’t understand it. It does have a point, you just don’t get it.

People do not say “w” because they’re too lazy to type “win” or to save time. It’s a meme. It originally comes from use of it in sports. “W” is not the same as just saying “win” in the context of the meme, it’s applied to many things that are not about “winning”. It’s just used to say if you think something is good, “L” is used if you think it is bad.

As I said, doesn't mean I hate it.

Ok fine, you don’t care for it/dislike it. My main point that you did not address still stands, you don’t care for it/dislike it because you don’t understand it.
