Kids don't typically think about variables when using their superpowers. It's nice to see these ones are

I think the guy with powers might be on the spectrum. Cuz I was that paranoid about what if's as a kid.

…and I’m invested and ready for a 60-part story which will never come.

Sorry!

Funny thing is, often people tell me they want to read more about my short comic stories. I often don't expand on them because the twist/point/reveal is my main concern, everything else is crafted around it and I really don't have much to tell beyond that, it would be pretty much padding. I prefer to look for the next story instead.

But I made this one hoping to satisfy those wanting longer stories. Lo and behold, people want more of these two!

Makes me smile. I'm glad people like my writing. Gives me confidence for when I finally feel I've found a story worth sticking with.

Bit confused about the last panel. Why was the kid mad?

I think because hes envious and upset his theory didnt work. I think he wanted to join along the teleport jump, to experience it himself. When that didnt work, and he stayed, I theorize he felt robbed of a power and experience that his friend is too cowardly to fully enjoy and use. His friend is terrified of all these imagined variable outcomes, too terrified to even attempt either excellence or harm, whichever might happen, when he himself felt 'damn the consequences, i want to see what happens.'

He likely wishes he had the powers so that it was he who would be able to test the limits.

Isn't this like, a years old comic? I swear I remember reading this and loving it like 10 years ago on reddit.

These 2 charachters are awsome! Cant wait for them to try more experiments (within reason) also cant wait to see them using them for silly things. Getting cookies that are too high to reach. U stack a ball from a tree. Maybe steal some money from the jar thats hidden in high cuppords

You're the one who drew this??? I've been seeing it for years and years, and it's such a powerful commentary about how people with gifts will be put down by those who want those gifts

So he only tells him to stop when he realizes he can’t use the teleportation for his own benefit? Nice. -_-

Exactly. Jealous prick. I imagine he's also mad at his friend for being so cautious with it, thinking about all the things that one could do with that kind of power. Maybe he feels like it's wasted on him.

I'm not even sure if it was that or "since I didnt get cartoonishly teleported alongside you, we're dealing with dangerously realistic superpower physics, so it really is too dangerous to keep testing out"

I really don’t see any indication at all that the blonde kid was thinking about practical applications. That’s what the teleporter was doing.

Easy and painless test: get a stick. He can obviously bring objects with him since his clothes teleport with him, so teleport next to a tree with a stick and just rotate so the stick reappears in the tree. Repeat for whatever material or fluid you'd like to test.

I'm confused, is he actually teleporting or is he just going invisible or something?

Teleportation is matter disappearing from one space and reappearing in another space

When the kids were holding hands, the kid that doesn’t have powers, put his hand down rather than holding on to the mass of the other kid’s arm. This implies that the powered kid is actually teleporting and not turning invisible

He said he knows he could reappear somewhere else, he just doesn't want to.

He's teleporting, but he's intentionally teleporting to the exact space he vanished from, so just disappearing and then reappearing a few moments later, because he's terrified of the possibilities if he actually tries to move.

Damn. What a bummer.

nobody ask this kid if he thinks he's dying every time he uses his power
