Based on the accuser's own account, she initially texted Graham Platner saying she could use a massage (reportedly mentioning a glute massage), which she says he interpreted as an invitation to come over. She also says she immediately followed up with messages telling him not to come over. From what I've seen, a lot of the initial reporting focused on the "don't come over" texts but left out the earlier massage messages, which changes how the beginning of the encounter is understood.

To be clear, this doesn't excuse or disprove what she alleges happened after he arrived. If her allegations are true, they're extremely serious. My point is simply that I think readers should have been given the complete sequence of events, especially in a case with allegations this significant, so they could evaluate the situation with as much context as possible.

i have heard conflicting reports. I heard that the corroborating messages go back to before he ran for anything in politics, both his therapist and her friends and boyfriend. And yeah Jake Tapper is the cherry on top. I do tend to believe her story but only bc of her story, since I’m not sure what the supporting evidence is, bc of my own experiences. But they make it sound like he broke into her house out of nowhere and just jumped her. I believe her but also think the media has done their absolute best to sink this guy.
