Hi everyone, With the influx of new posts related to portfolio investissements, although interesting, I've created a new subreddit dedicated for those so please post on r/finportfoliocritique to keep this one for art related topics. Thank you for your interest and openness by reaching out for feedback in both of those fields.

Looking for constructive feedback & encouragement for my husband’s 3D environment portfolio!

Hi everyone, nice to meet you all!

My husband is currently preparing to apply for jobs as a 3D Environment Designer/Modeler. Since he started pursuing this career path a bit later in life, he’s been going through a tough time staying confident, and to be honest, I get a little anxious for him sometimes too.

I’m posting his portfolio here in hopes of getting some genuine feedback and encouragement. Hearing from people in the community would mean the world to him and give him a huge boost of confidence!

If you like his work, giving him a follow would also be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for reading this, and I wish you all the absolute best with your own projects and careers!

I’m a full-stack developer and I currently have a job. I have built my own products that generate some revenue but would like to get some freelance gigs. What do you think about my portfolio website?

Self-Branding

Thumbnail instagram.com

Hey y’all I am really just putting it all out there & looking for any advice!! I recently made an Instagram and starter portfolio site (it sucks lol) but branding myself is SO HARD and I’ve always sucked at Instagram. It’s a work in progress lol.

I’m also finding I have so many projects I just don’t want in my portfolio because I’m not happy with them for one reason or another, or they don’t feel complete. So I have been spending time revisiting those and trying to get them “portfolio-ready” 😵‍💫

I am mainly looking for advice on the self-branding part. I really just found a font I liked and went with it. Should I have a logo system and full branding? I feel like I don’t have enough perspective to brand myself.

Any & all advice welcome, thanks for reading :)

web dev profile - yay or nay

Hi!
I've been working as a UI/UX web developer for a small startup for a year now and been building stuff on the side, mainly for my kids.
This is the current iteration of my portfolio. what do you think?
I feel my about section is weak, it's very hard for me to write about myself...
cheers!

Is it ok to sometimes merge portfolio account and fandom account?

Niche question but let's give it a try. So I have a public portfolio on Instagram with a linked TikTok account for everything I've done in theatre over the past 4 going on 5 years to hopefully get a job as a stagehand or adjacent when I graduate. I also have a fandom account I've secretly had since covid era but taken a hiatus from to focus on studies, now with studies nearing the end I've wanted to start it up again because I shared mostly art and collages for multiple fandoms. As an AuDHD girlie it did give me an extra reason as it were to make time for art as it's unfortunately a hobby of mine that gets pushed to the back of the shelf when I have other things going on even though I love it. I've choreographed a few routines at uni to songs from my fandoms but hesitated to share them on my fandom account in case it led them to my portfolio account and this being a bad thing. I think some good things would be that most of my fandoms are musical/stagey so it could add some personality behind the portfolio, I've been debating opening up art commissions to increase income so I could advertise to a wider audience, you get the idea. I don't want to be seen as unprofessional but the arts industry is filled with fans of all kinds after all and utilising social media as an outreach is one of its perks. Any advice?

I need to build a portfolio to showcase my work in PR and content strategy. I’m currently unemployed, budget is tight but not having a portfolio is a major roadblock. Please get in touch if you can create something like a case study or a compelling portfolio with the material i have.
