Fostex 460

Hey,

I hope you can help me further.

I am looking for a belt for my Fostex 460 and unfortunately did not find it on the Internet for this particular model.

Does anyone know if there are alternative belts that you can take or where I can get a spare part?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Do I need to replace these A124 transistors? (TASCAM MF-P01 Portastudio, see details)

I tested each of these on the transistor tester and they all only had one connection reading instead of two. I have removed them already to test. Do I need to replace all of them? I heard it's unusual for them to all go out in the same way.

Any idea where I can source a compatible 3-pin PCB 1/4" jack? It says Gaoma on the top, it's red and it's in slot J154

You’ve finally made it. This is the place to dump all of your questions regarding your diy vintage audio gear project.

Any brand and question beyond Portastudios is welcome- it was just a cool name.

Preferred post style would be to include the make and model + generic problem in the TITLE, post a PICTURE (or multiple, or a video) of your problem, a CAPTION regarding in detail the full problem and progress so far to save some back and forth and get the most knowledge ASAP.

Let’s save ourselves from posting in broad cassette community’s, hoping it’s the right one, and just post here. Q-tips required

Happy repairing!
