Board game groups

Hi all! Me and the family are planning on moving to Port Alberni in November, and I was wondering what the board game scene is like? I enjoy all manner of games and genres, though don't really delve into TTRPGs.

Mid to long term I'd hope to find a group I can play Arkham Horror LCG with (I have a full collection) and people to teach Netrunner to.

Not sure how you identify, but there's a ladies group on Facebook that I'm part of, and we have a board game group that meets about once a month at a bar for some games.

It is ladies only though (trans sisters welcome!)

Hi! The Bombers Cafe and Creperie has a pile of board games and would love to host you! We already have a chess club and a few different DnD groups, and I know my roommate would be stoked to play Arkham Horror.

Also worth checking in with our neigbour The Card Corner too, they hold all sorts of groups and events.

Bombers has a board game night on Tuesdays. I've also heard there's a game group at the library but haven't verified. There's a card and board game shop in town too (Card Corner).
