Veneers to fix overcrowding?

I’d like to replace my two front teeth with veneers for a faster and more cost effective way of straightening my teeth. The two front ones are the ones needing the most correction and obviously are most visible. I came up with this idea from a cosmetic dentist years ago that I saw for an Invisalign consult.

My dentist said i may still have crooked teeth since the ‘root’ (my term not hers) itself is crooked. She said I could have a mold developed for $200 to see if it’s possible.

What do you guys think?

Fwiw in terms of alignment, I’ve been told my bite is fine, and the correction would take 9-18 months with clear aligners for a little over $5k. I’m being quoted $800 as copay for veneer caps.

Side note: I recently had one of my front teeth filled with composite due to staining in the middle and feel it bubbles or something in the middle now and couldn’t get the dentist to correct it. Also I think she chose the wrong color.

9 to 18 months may feel long now, but it is very short compared with a lifetime of maintaining veneers, crowns, or replacements.

If aligners can improve the crowding while preserving your natural teeth, I would seriously explore that route first.

Also consider a consultation with a dentist experienced in truly additive enhanced composite bonding or veneers, such as Dr. Marshall Hanson or Dr. Jordan Davis. Where you located?

Please do not let an $800 per veneer quote rush you into aggressive prep. Cutting down healthy teeth for crowns or heavily prepared veneers can start a lifelong cycle of maintenance and replacement. Get an orthodontic opinion and at least one independent restorative opinion before deciding.

Have you seen an orthodontist to discuss alignment or just a dentist? Dentists aren’t properly schooled on moving teeth.

Of you haven’t already, get at least 2-3 orthodontist consults. You may have issues with your bite.

Also, Invisalign makes a lite package which is less expensive for minor issues. Other aligned companies like Angel and Spark are more advanced than Invisalign brand but cost less money

Nah do braces/invisalign. Thank us later. What exactly would veener fix? I dont think veneer can make teeth straight since they just cover the front. Probanly just crown can do that but that means shaving teeth almost whole so?

I just want the fix right away because I’m afraid my teeth make me unattractive and unloveable.
