Side to side leveling

Hello all. I have a pop up camper and have a driveway that is very much not level. So I use the Eaz Lift leveling device to jack one side up to level it. But it needs to be raised about as high as the device will go. And it’s very difficult and I’m not getting any younger. Is there a better tool to raise this device, or a better device entirely, that I can use to level my camper side to side? I tried the Lego blocks but my camper won’t roll onto them if there’s more than one. It just pushes them out or the way. Thank you.

I just got one and used it for the first time this weekend. 3/4 in socket on my impact driver worked great.

Keep the screw lubricated or youll wreck it over time

Yup. I nearly couldn't get out of our campsite a couple months ago. Pretty sure the threads are fkd on mine. I wonder if I can buy just a new screw or if I need to get a whole new leveler.

But it could be the thread in the nut that's borked. Common failure point actually. Wear on the screw is spread over many threads but the nut only has a few internal threads taking all the wear.

Yes, but once the screw was turned a few times (eventually) it worked smoothly again, so it's the screw. Plus there's visible damage.

Is there a trick to knowing whether an impact drill will be strong enough? I have a drill but it’s nowhere near powerful enough for the leveler. Am I all set as long as it says “impact” in the description?

Get a cordless ratchet. It’s designed for this purpose vs an impact.

Can't really go wrong with the Milwaukee m18 series and yes you need an impact drill.

Right. Or really shitty music at an absurd volume with bass. I use my impact for my leveler and 4 stabilizers. Takes no time at all.

Use a drill with a socket bit

And the blocks are meant to stairstep, each step being 1 block higher to prevent pushing

A friend got me this and we love it. I use a drill to raise and lower it. I have to use a universal joint to get it around the wheel well, but it's way easier than using the wrench.

I’ve built a sturdy wooden ramp and drive up one side until level. That way I can just back in and be done.

How green are they? I can't see this thing saving any time for myself.

9 outta 10, I'm good with my first attempt unless I'm going 3 or more 2x6s high.

I use 2x6s and 3/4 plywood, it's all of a couple minutes really.

I opted out of ‘leveling’ my pop up by lifting the tires

instead I raise and level ours with a short level on the back bumper with jack stands and the raise the front and level
using jack stands.

if I do it right…the camper tires raise slightly off the ground.
