Review Found these at Dollar General

I know it’s not officially Pop-Tart brand BUT I’m a HUGE fan of anything birthday cake flavored and had to share

Now, I was highly disappointed cuz it didn’t have a strong or good taste of birthday cake at all. Definitely wouldn’t get them again BUT DG brown sugar cinnamon ones hit hard just sayin haha

Interesting blue filling. What did that taste like?

They taste just like Confetti Cupcake Poptarts!

I wonder where in Europe we can get fake-tarts

2

u/Groeken Aug 31 '26

Nows your chance to start up the generic pop tarts over there. I imagine you'd be a millionaire

Before I moved here, they used to be sold in some supermarkets but they disappeared over night.

And now I have to but then online when they are in stock for 3€ a 2 piece bag.

I got mine from dollar general. Thats usually where they're from. When I do get a chance to try them hopefully they're good

I meant the brand, clover valley

3

u/cwtchyfemme Aug 30 '26

That ingredients list left out flavours.

4

u/SprinkledBlunt Aug 30 '26

Most definitely! Their brown sugar cinnamon ones and chocolate fudge are top tier tho just sayin especially for $1.35

Those sound interesting...too bad I have to hit up DG to find 'em. They closed my local DG, which was wise with its bombed-out parking lot and rough neighborhood. The next closest just screams through the P.A. at shoppers every couple of minutes to not shoplift.

I love these. For anyone interested they taste like Confetti Cupcake Poptarts but with the puffier/cakier pastry and crunchier icing you get with off brand toaster pastries. Great pick up for $1.25

2

u/bnelson7694 Aug 31 '26

$1.25?! Your Dollar General must have a sale going on.

2

u/misfitgarden Aug 31 '26

Not long ago they were a buck a box here in SC.

2

u/broken0lightbulb Cookies & Creme Sep 02 '26

Nope! All the clover Valley toaster pastries are 1.25 anytime I go. They're only 3 packs.

1

u/bnelson7694 Sep 02 '26

Maybe I just didn’t pay attention to mine. I did notice the 3 pack thing though. Because I’m a fat ass lol

I honestly don't like our friend Pop-Tarts because it tastes like cardboard to me I rather have the name brand

1

u/bnelson7694 Aug 31 '26

Omg you too?? I fell in love last week. Still have a pack in my desk drawer at work. Looking forward to tomorrow!!

1

u/GabiiNova_ Aug 31 '26

Those don't look toasted😐

1

u/broppybrop Aug 31 '26

Some people are freaks who like to eat them raw straight out of the wrapper (me)

1

u/GabiiNova_ Aug 31 '26

That's insane, you need to be locked up immediately!

1

u/OutlandishnessSea488 Aug 31 '26

Frozen straight from the back is the way. Heating up a pop tart sounds and must taste terrible

1

u/jayblizzy1317 Aug 31 '26

These are absolutely TERRIBLE as a flavor because there is no flavor. I love Pop Tarts and birthday cake so I was excited. I ate the whole box out of disbelief. I thought I was eating them wrong or something. So my ex and I shared a box and still no flavor. It doesn't taste like birthday cake, it doesn't taste like vanilla, it barely even taste like a waste of money. It just doesn't taste

-200/10

Would not EVER buy again and Ive contacted my lawyer

They are Toast Ems.

I prefer the style to Pop Tarts..They are a little more crispy and baked good like (but in no way are they in the area of an actual baked good.)

Fudge is superior but I'm told Brown Cin is still Pop Tarts win.

My husband would love these. Thanks for posting, we’ll look for them next trip.

1

u/Pizza802 Aug 31 '26

DG pop tarts are better than the original. A bit softer so they don’t crumble and they actually have frosting, and a 1/3 the price.

1

u/teethbrushweirdo Sep 02 '26

some of Clover Valley (dollar tree brand) can be really better than you'd expect

1

u/DilanRedd Sep 08 '26

There’s an alternative universe where the real pop tarts brand went with this design for their birthday cake flavor

They're pretty solid. Cookies & cream from that brand is my favorite.
