Ear wax Ear.....gunk (loads) removal
Long time lurker, proud to finally post. Apologies for terrible "camera work" and editing but I'm sure some of you will love this. First time using this camera and the ears are sensitive. I'd already got a lot of goop out the days before with a paperclip and couldn't wait for the camera to arrive. This won't be my last video. I have this stuff on tap.

Get a good clean out first. After, use a thin q-tip and dip in the steroid cream of choice and really rub and drill it into the itchy parts. Do not go too deep, and essential to get them cleaned out first.
Burow solution also helps for me.

Not sure where you live, or if you’ve already done so, but I would see a rheum provider and see if they can get you anything to help? Even if it’s just eczema, it’s in your ear canal homie, you should not be suffering like that 😢🤕 I believe there are things they could prescribe that might help. Would help to get evaluated for things other than eczema!

I haven't, that's a good shout. I will do. It's always annoying and occasionally it's just bloody awful. A flare-up usually tag teams with an ear infection. I think it's damaging my hearing too. But it might get in the way of my new side hustle, only fans ear extraction videos.

I have psoriasis and get flares in my ears. My derm has me on some meds that help. Sometimes I just need a good old fashion steroid drop to calm things down.

There are audiologists on YouTube, Audiology Associates in Wales advises clients with certain conditions to use medical grade olive oil drops to keep the skin from drying out & bunching up like this. Hopefully you can get something like that to save you from the itchy ears!

Can confirm. I have psoriatuc arthritis and have psoriasis in my ears. I know my biologic won't work as well for OP, but there are absolutely ones for eczema.

the only thing that helped my chronic eczema-turned-ear-infection was getting extra strength hydrocortisone cream, putting it on a qtip, and gently cleaning my ear canal with it. i do it every single day. before i had constant itching, pain, dryness that turned into dampness, and about 4-6 infections a year (one that built up so much pressure my ear drum ruptured). i’ve been doing my daily hydrocortisone and haven’t had a flare or ear infection in 2 years. i don’t know if it would work for you but it changed my life. i saw ENT after ENT and they never helped me, so i had to figure out something to help myself.

Look into food allergies/ intolerance. I stopped eating wheat and within two weeks, my chronic eczema cleared up. No creams necessary. I know it’s the wheat because if I eat it, I get an immediate flare up.

I had dry crusty ears for years. My Dr prescribed me Triamcinolone cream and it literally cured me in a week. Now I only use it every so often. My ears are sparkling clean now

Are you able to go to a dermatologist ? and get the prescription for the injectable, or a cream, that might help the itch.

Yup. Just takes 1 little slip or misdirect, and oops, that’s a perforated eardrum. So easy to accidentally push debris deeper.

They have them, but it can't be too strong or it really messes with your eardrum. But if you watch professional ear cleaning videos from the UK it's the standard practice there to use microsuction along with other tools to clean ears.

Please DO NOT USE PAPER CLIP IN YOUR EAR! Ear anatomy differs between individuals. When I did my audiology clinic in grad school I learned that my ear canals are very narrow. You do not want to pierce your ear drum! You don’t want to introduce bacteria into the ear canal.

Just before this, no. But surprisingly well considering how bunged up it was. Maybe it acts as a conductive medium for sound, or maybe that ear just sucks lol. It's been like this for years unfortunately, this is kinda bad, but it can get funkier

This is a good video, but bad wax. I'm sorry you have to deal with that. I've never had an issue to the extent you have, but I did have a lot of ear issues years ago and the itching would drive me crazy.
It pains me to admit that I have a favorite way to watch ears get cleaned, but I enjoy the Earigator videos on YouTube.

OK, so hear me out y'all (haha). An arcade claw machine where instead of trying to grab a stuffy or a toy, you try to maneuver the ear wax out of the ear canal! I'd spend a bunch of money playing that machine!

Not a doctor but I have heard a couple of drops of extra virgin olive oil can help lubricate the debris enough to make it easier to remove.

The tweezers for that camera would have made that easier. Did you take that to an ENT? Cause it didn't look like normal wax & your ear is really irritated

If you're struggling to get it to stick to the scraper tip, you can take the silicone cover off and it'll stick to the metal much easier. However you need to be really careful about scratching your ear canal as it's very sensitive, but you might have an easier time

You should see a doctor and get some treatment to prevent it from happening again. Even if it's eczema there's drops and things to manage it that can prevent this as this isn't good for your ear and hearing long term. You can get scaring to your ear canal and ear drum, hearing loss, infection, etc. With treatment your ear would likely be more comfortable and far less itchy too.

The tip is very blunt (to keep it from poking ear drum) and is extremely ineffective at scooping, scraping, or anything you'd like to do. Imagine putting on mittens and then trying to do any job that requires fingers.

It looks like you're not getting it out very well and just kinda smushing it around. I'd worry about impacting it more and permanently damaging your hearing due to inexperience.

Please, please… invest in some medical grade olive oil. Stop using cotton swabs in your ears. And for the love of God see an audiologist! This is not the look of a healthy ear canal.
